I ended up seeing it twice. My second time in imax and it blew my mind! I honestly felt like a kid again it was wonderful. I knew I was gonna like this movie regardless cause it’s Godzilla but I was pleasantly surprised by my friends reactions. They all really enjoyed it. My parents even wanted to see it with me the second time and they loved it!

I get what you're saying, but you're making it seem like $15 *million* is nothing. Granted this $15-mil looked better than a decent number of the ~$200-mil. Hollywood flicks from the past two years.

Special effects in Japan is cheap as workers are paid very little; especially those in animation and VFX.

But no one was in it for story...just Godzilla personifying the American movie monster trope.

At least you have Legacy of Monsters to hold you over until Minus One comes to screaming or Blu-ray probably early February or sooner. So far I saw the first two episodes, it has a lot of potential. Plus Godzilla X Kong’s hype train is starting so people will stop talking about Minus One as much.

Yeah, I’m so glad you got to see it on the big screen. All I have to say is Christopher Nolan eat your heart out when it comes to sound editing! There is so much packed into it, you can tell it was a labor of love and I’m happy it hit number 3 at the US Box Office but I am also a little worried about film snobs getting into Godzilla films now! I still haven’t seen Singular Point or the last film in the Polygon trilogy. And Love and Monsters is still on my list! So much monster action! An awesome problem to have!

@BossActionMedia definitely! Oh and don't worry some film snobs already ruined Godzilla 1954 in my university so I prepared for the inevitable. I did see Love and Monsters awhile back and it's definitely a fun movie, and if you enjoy that you may like the Skull Island animated series as its written by the same guy who did Love and Monsters (I personally feel mixed about it since it kind of deviates from how Skull Island is in the MV). Overall, we've long gone past the pre-2014 drought era, and we are also now bamboozled by that Always 2 clip of Godzilla that everyone labeled as "Godzilla 2012 teaser", because Yamazaki who did that film, ended up actually making a Godzilla movie so we were technically being teased of Minus One since 2007-ish.

Save to say it is my top film for 2023 and probably 2024 unless Godzilla X Kong does something crazy.

No info for Philippine release date, I've dmed and commented on Viewer's Choice Philippine's account since they're the ones who distributed Shin Gojira. They didn't respond to my questions and comments. Honestly, I'm losing hope (patience & temper) at his point.

Would like to correct myself: Pioneer films was the one who distributed Shin Gojira back in 2016, I've already dmed them in their FB page and no response yet. Highly encourage everyone to do this, just to show that we're interested and are willing to spend money on it to watch it in theatres
